MR33 V5 Carpet Additive 100ml ETS

MR33 proudly presents the new V5 Tyre Adhesive, which is particularly suitable for use on carpets. It has been specially developed for carpet racing with rubber tyres and foam tyres and has a new and advanced formula.
The application time is between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on the desired adhesion. It is recommended to clean the tyres with brake cleaner etc. between runs.
The adhesive is manufactured and produced in Europe.

1️⃣ What are hollow chamber tyres for 1:10 RC cars?

Hollow chamber tyres (often called rubber tyres with inserts) consist of:

Rubber tyres (outer)
Foam insert (inside)
→ This foam insert supports the tyre from the inside so that it does not collapse and defines how soft or firm the tyre sits on the rim.

Application: Standard for 1:10 scale on-road and off-road RC cars - both touring cars and buggies.

2️⃣ What is tyre traction compound?

Tyretraction compound is a liquid or gel that is applied to the tread of the tyre to:

Soften the surface of the rubber
Increase the grip (adhesion) on the track
→ Particularly helpful on smooth or dusty surfaces

3️⃣ Why is an adhesive used specifically for hollow chamber tyres?

Hollow-chamber tyres (unlike sponge rubber tyres, for example) have a flexible tread.
Using adhesives allows you to achieve:

✅ More grip → better traction when accelerating and cornering
✅ More consistency → the grip remains stable for longer during a race
✅ Fine tuning → you can specifically influence the turn-in behaviour and stability

4️⃣ What is the technical effect of adhesives on hollow chamber tyres?

Adhesive slightly swells the rubber, making it more supple → the tyre lays better in the microstructure of the asphalt or carpet.
In combination with the foam insert, the tyre remains dimensionally stable, although the surface becomes softer → ideal balance between flexibility and stability.

Whole tread	Maximum grip (caution: can become tippy)

→ Adjust application time & quantity (depending on temperature, track surface, tyre compound)

6️⃣ Additional tip (from practical experience)

Always clean tyresafter the race (brake cleaner or special cleaner), otherwise the tyres will become brittle and age more quickly.
